O fotógrafo amador francês Luc Perrot ficou impressionado com a imagem que conseguiu captar quando fotografava movimento das nuvens na Ilha da Reunião, no Oceano Índico.Ele estava a dois mil pés, em cima da formação vulcânica Cirque de Mafate, fazendo suas fotos quando reparou uma sombra flutuando entre as nuvens.
“Quando olhei para cima, vi uma sombra flutuando entre as nuvens cercado por um arco-íris. Aquilo me pegou de surpresa. Quando olhei para as filmagens, me deu a sensação de ser uma aparição divina. Você lê sobre esse tipo de fenômeno nos livros, mas eu nunca vi isso antes”, lembra o fotógrafo.
Uma agência independente distribuiu a imagem e diversos jornais do mundo noticiaram. Cristãos dizem que a imagem lembra a profecia de que Jesus Cristo voltará entre as nuvens para buscar a Igreja.
