  Usando uma parte da história de Davi, o líder da Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus, bispo Edir Macedo, escreveu em seu blog que a oração não desfaz a maldição e nem mesmo a confissão e o arrependimento puderam impedir que a ira de Deus caísse sobre Israel.




Edir Macedo diz que somente um sacrifício é que pode cessar a maldição na vida de uma pessoa. Essa conclusão ele chegou com o capítulo 21 de I Crônicas. Quando, diante do mal que recaiu sob Israel, Davi ofereceu um sacrifício.



“Não sou eu o que disse que se contasse o povo? Eu é que pequei, eu é que fiz muito mal; porém estas ovelhas que fizeram? Ah! Senhor, meu Deus, seja, pois, a Tua mão contra mim e contra a casa de meu pai e não para castigo do Teu povo.” I Crônicas 21.17



É firmado nesse versículo que no próximo domingo, 25, Macedo estará no local onde está sendo construído o Templo de Salomão para apresentar “o sacrifício dos amaldiçoados”.



“Se o leitor carrega em si uma maldição, e estiver interessado em participar deste propósito de fé, entregue seu sacrifício até domingo em qualquer IURD”, escreveu Macedo.
